My need for a new mobile device is low.I use a 1-2 year old phone but I’ve been looking at all the new phones that are coming out and I can’t seem to make a decision.I have a few things in mind:1) A decent camera, preferably very close to the screen (less red eye)2) A good touch screen (my primary concern is responsiveness, size, and no squinting)3) Enough RAM and storage to run a browser and a few apps.I’ve tried a few devices – the Nexus One, iPhone, and most devices from Samsung and Motorola.I’m asking which device I should get on the basis that I don’t want to be using an older phone for a long time.

Have you used an Android phone before? If not, I recommend the Motorola
droid. I haven’t used the iPhone, so you should ask others what they think
about it.
I don’t know much about touch screens; if you’re still searching, try the
Nexus One, its screen is the best I’ve ever touched on a phone. The Android
software is simple and gets the job done quickly. It runs apps very
efficiently, and has a “low” memory consumption, so it doesn’t eat up your
memory after opening a lot of apps and browsing a lot of websites.
The best thing about Android is that you can download apps from the Play
Market. That’s the only reason I switched to an Android phone.

similar. Is the Droid noticeably better than a generic Android phone? (Assuming
it isn’t a custom version).
I can’t say that I’ve ever touched an Android phone. I’ve never owned or used
an Android phone, but I’ve used a Windows Mobile phone, a Blackberry Bold, and
a Palm OS device. My suggestion is based on those experiences.
