We had some concerns that the strong performances of Ultima were getting quite predictable but we thought we could do a fair deal with the game’s creators to show it in an arcade mode. The game’s creator saw the demo, Lorne and I presented it to him, and he was very impressed with the arcade mode, and so we agreed to produce all of the arcade mode content for Ultima forever.
You’ll be able to enjoy the entire arcade mode by playing on your own or with a friend. If you are playing with a friend you will see your stats show up on the main screen. We are also providing a digital manual for all of the random events that take place within the arcade mode. We also figured we could provide a super-lobby for players to practice against each other as well.
To accompany this, we are also providing a customizable HUD for some of the more rare weapons to make it easier to use. We can also make other minor tweaks so that the game becomes completely user configurable.
While we won’t be able to release the entire game in this way, we’ll provide all of the content for the arcade mode so you can experience it right away. There’s some advice in the manual for when to use each weapon along with some tips for most difficult and easy difficulties.

You then have to cross two lanes to get to the next jump. The second lane moves out of place every time you play this level.
Cross the first lane, and jump to clear a second one.
Cross the two other lanes, then cross the final lane. Once again, the last lane moves out of place every time you play this level.
Using the two moves from above, you will be able to clear the third, the fourth, and the final jump.

The environmental manipulation is as simple as selecting the right item and pressing the right key to spawn it. This mechanic is powered by a psionic grid that is laid out over the levels. This system is made to give Transmogrify an interesting meta-game that keeps the players interested in the game’s difficulty level. With every playthrough the new tasks will become more difficult and dangerous. This also gives the designers a lot of leeway when deciding on how to design the levels and what will be the challenges that Chris will face.
The Transmogrification:
This mechanic requires the player to use the magic of alchemy to change monsters into another creature. In order to transmogrify a monster, the player needs to select one of the grid’s cells and press the right key. The game will then be temporarily paused while the monster changes. The player can then either alter the monster into a different one or drag the newly created monster to the trashcan and leave it there. In each level there are three different means of clearing the trash: press the right key, swipe it in an arc, or move the cursor through the trashcan. Back in the day, the Canadian Redcos were running and pulling freight trains on the Victorian Railways network!
In the past few weeks, we’ve been working hard to bring the retro DLC to you all, and wanted to ensure that it was fully compatible with all Australian Redco drivers.
We’ve added some train types from the Victorian Railways, the Canada’s second largest railway system at the time that only just got a shoddy conversion during the 1930s!
With the introduction of the London and South Western Railway’s approximately 5,000 tonner earlier this year, you can now drive an assortment of new and very rare VR class locomotives!
Until now, only a handful of VK, VR, VRK Class locomotives were modelled for GTA IV by us, and so we’ve decided to err on the side of caution and include ALL of the locomotives from that railway system.
We can’t show you an image of them all here, but we can promise that they’re all very cool, and even give you some info on them.
So, without further ado, here’s the Canadian Redco type 4 DD Class:
This DLC is the free expansion for the Canadian Redco Australian DLC, which we highly advise you get right away if you haven’t got it already, as it’s a very rare thing to be able to drive these little locomotives on the rails!
Like all Australian Redcos, this one will become available on PC, PS3 and 360 this week.
We’ve tried to very intelligently distribute these across different towns, hence why they’re starting in South Town (4), but they aren’t all over the place – and there may even be a few in some of the ones you already drive!
There aren’t going to be too many passing fairs these days, but there are a few, and they will often appear on the train. They are also much less common on the On-Demand, Stock Exchange and Cop Road networks.
There’s not much use to drive these all the way down to the Ballarat front line – they’ll be more common and easier to find in greater concentrations at Yardie Stations, Gippsland Port and Merbein.
