The story begins in a world where the Warriors of Sol and Darkness–the most powerful beings on Earth–are at war in the Lands Between. A boy named Tarnished is one of these Warriors. As he travels through the Lands Between, he encounters a white dragon named Affran, who helps him revive the deceased Warriors of the Elden Ring. The sword that Affran entrusted to Tarnished will allow him to develop as a new type of Warrior.
Along with Tarnished, the two other new Warriors awakened: Sol, the guardian of the Warriors of Sol, and Neptune, the guardian of the Warriors of Darkness. Together, they will take on the most fearsome and powerful enemies and journey to the Land of Oblivion in order to save the Lands Between.

First of all, the concept and design of TRUCE is incredible. The concept is one of the best out there for me, and I am happy to have it in this moment in time. Having witnessed 9 years of the growing popularity of MMORPGs, and seeing the huge success of The Elder Scrolls Online, I was concerned about TRUCE being a solid Kickstarter. I was afraid that it would be like that horrible game of Ogrequest, where everything was cool as long as you were paying attention, and then you weren’t paying attention and everything went horribly wrong. Well, it looks like I was wrong, as not only has the engine and the actual game design been being made, but TRUCE also has a built-in story, and Tarnished is even more balanced than in the Kickstarter video. Also, like the original game, there is a huge world for you to explore, but it is broken up into sections. Unlike the Kickstarter, there are large and small dungeons, towns, villages, ruins, caves, castles, and other locations. There is also a real story and character progression in TRUCE. I know that this is a different type of game, but I think that it is one of the best video game concepts that I have seen in a while. The storyline is very well thought-out, and really holds my attention. The different endings, depending on your choices, and the detailed background story are what make me want to keep playing.
The sound is pretty good in this game. Voice acting isn’t as immersive as it was in the Kickstarter, but there are a few things that you can do to help improve it. First, there is an option to turn on the subtitles while playing (and even when you are not playing). If you do that, you will see that some of the lines of the voice actors are just missing.
