You can use the webcam located on the Airbus A340 at Z\u00fcrich Airport, flying from several other major Swiss airports.

After you have downloaded and installed the Swiss airports webcam you can start the widget from the menu:

This Widget displays webcams from Swiss airports. It is easy to update your computer with the latest webcam pictures. The Sky-View-Widget shows the last 20 camera pictures, which are taken right on your desktop.

Using this widget, you can get live images of the Swiss airports. There are three different
\nscenarios you can set, which you can decide on clicking on one of the three modes. If you are a visitor to Switzerland you will
\nget the most accurate result, where, in the different modes, the chosen scenario is displayed. However, if you’re a Swiss resident
\nyou will get the most interesting (and sometimes funny) result.
\nThe purpose of this widget is not to give you the best weather forecast, or traffic or any kind of traffic information. All that
\ndata is already available online.
\nThe purpose of this widget is to let you get a glimpse of the daily life of the people living in Switzerland.
\nUpdate 7\/1\/2004: Webcams from Flugplatz Zug AG, since the company website is now handled by the airports of the airport company.<\/p>\n
Display Modes:
\nThere are three different display modes, each of which has its own advantages.
\nThis widget will display the following images:
\nMode: Black and White Camera: This is the best quality webcam mode, which captures one (or more) channels of the webcam(s)
\nconnected to the airports. It uses the best colour range of the webcam, often more than in the other modes. It has a
\n“flickering” effect to improve the exposure time. It works best if you have a fairly fast computer (i.e. a dual core or
\nquad core processor).
\nMode: Grey Camera: This mode simply displays a grey rectangle. The greyness is adjusted to the colour range of the
\ncamera. If the camera is not correctly calibrated, then this mode will not work. It works best with cameras
\nwith slow colour change. The grey screen is visible for a longer time than the black and white mode. It works best on a
\nslow computer (i.e. a single core processor).
\nMode: Green Camera: This mode is the best compromise between the other modes. It displays a green rectangle which is
\nadjusted to the colour range of the camera. The colour of the rectangle is often corrected with the colour of the
\nsurroundings. This mode has a lot of drawbacks and a low image quality (i.e. no “flickering” effect). The green screen
\nis not visible for a long time. It works best with cameras with very high colour change. This mode uses very little
\nmemory, however, in general, it is a bad choice.
\nNote: The combination of one of the two modes with the other ones is not possible.
\nNote: The combination of the “green camera” mode with any of the other two modes is not possible.
\nNote: If you configure this widget to display images from Flugplatz Zug, the camera mode will not be used.
