TOYD is an application that lets you write text on your desktop or to any part of your screen. It works great on all computers and smartphones with a small resolution and on any resolution screen (as long as your computer can run Unity3D).
Using TOYD
The settings window has five tabs with descriptions of their function. Under General you can set font size, background color, and text color. Font size can be set as small, regular, or large. Background color is automatically set depending on your screen brightness. Text color can also be set in many ways; you can choose between black, white, gray, or set a random color.
Under Keyboard, you can choose to use the keyboard or the mouse to type text. Also, you can adjust the size of the text with the “+” and “-” keys.
Under Grid, you can set the number of lines, from one to five. These lines are called grids. When you reach the last line, the next grid will be visible. You can’t go back to the first line, but you can exit and restart the application.
Under Buttons, you can choose the direction for the text to move from left to right or from right to left. And if you move it to the edge of the screen, the text will appear from the top or from the bottom.
Using TOYD
Once you’ve chosen a text, you can input it using the keyboard or the mouse. The keyboard option only works if the app is maximized and you’ve set it so. With the mouse, you get a box where you can write or highlight text.
TOYD supports all languages and, although it’s a free application, you can change the language on the fly. The application will remember what you’ve chosen and will use it every time you open it.

When you first open the app, you can decide to use either the keyboard or the mouse. And when you want to change the text direction, you can use the keys + or -. If you want to move the text to the edge of the screen, you must click on the edge of the screen and drag the text away from it.
