    I’m a really big fan of Japan, so being able to see the same great games come to new platforms via localization is such a treat. Japan’s system of paid content releases is very popular, so I was thrilled to hear that Boot Hill Heroes would be hitting the US App Store today.

    Boot Hill Heroes With License Code Free [Mac/Win]

    Overall:
    This game really is one of the most unique games I have played. I feel that a lot of the indie success stories come from the fact that the games are super easy to pick up and play. Boot Hill Heroes is no exception and is the best little game I have played in a while.

    Review:
    There are no bells and whistles in this game. A 2-dimensional platform with a very few graphics and mechanics. The gameplay is that of old school Mario, and for those who are too young or old for Mario, you will feel at home.

    There are plenty of challenges and secrets to be found, and when you are done, you feel as if you’ve got a little more than what you started with. If you enjoy what you do in this game, it might be worth it for you to buy and play a few games that are, well, a bit more ambitious and polished.

    I loved the music, but some of the bosses were a little difficult for those who didn’t think to play the game in easy mode.

    Overall:
    Much like “Professor Layton and the Unwound Future” and “Portal 2,” “Boot Hill Heroes” excels in gameplay but lacks in the levels and puzzles of the story, and the art design is another matter.

    It probably isn’t for everyone, and the beginning can be rather confusing, but after you play it for awhile it starts to become fun.

    Review:
    First of all, I have to admit, I never played a game from the developers of Shadowgate before. I wasn’t the slightest bit interested in seeing what they could do, but I played the game anyway just so I could compare it to my memories of the SNES game. Boot Hill Heroes is a simple 2D platformer that can be completed fairly quickly. Although it lacks in everything, it does make up for it in a few key areas, and those factors will keep you interested in playing the game for a good while.

    Overall:
    If you’re looking for a good game that you can get your friends to sit down with you and enjoy together, I would suggest Boot Hill Heroes. 8/10 for this game.
