Computerised Carnival is an application that was designed in order to provide a simple way of managing sporting carnivals. It comes in two editions, one for primary and the other for secondary schoools.

The Carnival Information Management System (CIMS) is a database/software tool built for the administration of carnival events. It is one of the products of Naperquin Technologies and consists of a number of programs. The main programs are CIMS, Gamete and their interface PAVEL.

We have 4 parties that use this system, one at primary school and 3 at secondary school. I am a teacher at a primary school.

We now have two computers installed at each school with access to the internet. The first computer is programmed for the primary school but I also have access to it for secondary schools.
The secondary school computers are joined to two of the CIMS programmes and the third is joined to the programme PAVEL. We also have access to a technical assistant that helps with any problems. This is a company that Naperquin Technologies have contracted to us and they deal with all computer based systems.
At present, there are just a few problems but more arise as we get to grips with the system. It has been set up in a way that the primary school user can use the programme for all of their activities. The other schools can use it for their specific activities.
We have a problem with one of the primary school computers that just sits in its room and nobody uses it. This has stopped me using the primary school database and I have decided to access the secondary school database to access the carnival information. I will only do this when there are no carnivals scheduled at the primary school. I want to do this because as we continue to grow with more and more carnival events, we might actually use this program for the whole school.
If we have a carnival that coincides with the carnival event that the primary school user has accessed, then the primary school user does not have access to the carnival information. This means that the primary school user does not have access to any information about the carnival even though we have to start entering information about the carnival event.
I also want to note that there are many changes that are made, by me and other users. These are mostly minor but they are changes that have to be made for the carnival. Most of these changes relate to the sports that take place in the carnival. The changes are typically limited to updates of rules and also more recently, the addition of some commentary.

7. The section with the most wins will be entered as the winner
of the section.
8. The winner will be credited, the total number of wins for
the carnival will be recorded, and the carnival records will be
placed in the correct columns on the report.
9. The section with the second most wins will be entered as the
winner of the overall carnival.
10. The winner will be credited, the total number of wins for
the carnival will be recorded, and the carnival records will be
placed in the correct columns on the report.
11. The section with the second most wins will be entered as the
