Update: There have been a number of user comment and reviews stating their frustration at the low rating due to bugs and such that lead the developers to remove their SaaS (Software as a service) model for the application. The SaaS model, in my opinion, was the weakness of the software that has been addressed since. I have written here and there about this in the past so I have summarized a general statement. See here for more information. The SaaS model means that the service is provided over the internet, in return for a monthly fee, rather than by downloading the software to your own computer or network.
The SaaS model is a “pay for what you use” concept meaning that in return for the service provided, you need only pay for the functionalities you use. This allows the SaaS company to make money regardless of how much they are using the service. In this case, the SaaS company has allowed such a low rating.
However, a fully functional web site that provides the same functionality as eToDo Notes is available at eTodoNotes.com. There are no monthly fees, no contract, no spam and there is no trickery to sign you up for something that you cannot cancel. It does not have the same range of features but it does provide a functional todo app that saves your data and is suitable for personal as well as for work use. This is the best eToDo Note in my opinion. It is not free but is reasonably priced.
