TP-Link has released two new routers: the TG-MT300 and TG-MT200. Both devices support Ethernet IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and offer 150Mbps Wireless N- ADSL2+ connectivity. It features a simple web-based configuration tool, which makes setting up your wireless network a breeze.
The TG-MT300 comes with the Easy Setup Assistant. TP-Link has designed this application to be a handy and simple means of installing and configuring your router.
The application can be accessed from the web using an Internet connected device. You simply need to enter your router’s IP address and login credentials to remotely control the device and configure its settings. The router’s user-friendly web-based configuration utility not only requires no technical expertise but also eliminates the need to connect the router to your computer or laptop computer.
This is a nice, new router, well worth your dollar, unless you happen to be like me and have an old, two year old similar router.
Even though I’ve tried to make my router as plug and play as possible, and use my ARP 2600W to set everything up, and I’ve been pretty good at plugging in the power and the internet, it always seems to break after awhile and I have to spend time troubleshooting it. All of this is when I’m at work so this means I have to wait until I’m back home where I have internet connected at home all the time.
It’s then that I get the call to come home early because my router is down. It’s been a few months.
I thought I would take a few minutes and write down how to fix my “StarRouter”.
So first, here are the specs for this router
All the docs say that there’s a 1.2Ghz version of the router that costs about $5 more, but I was not impressed by that one. So this is the next best thing.
