Does the +4 reaction bonus of well-tuned guns have any implications for multi-shot weapons?

The +4 bonus to the Reaction roll granted by the Craftsman’s Pistol, and its variants, seems to have implications for the Craftsman’s Companion Pistol.
I’m assuming here that it’s only relevant to multi-shot weapons.
Question: Does the +4 reaction bonus (or any of the other reactions added by the Craftsman’s Pistol, which I haven’t listed here) have any implications for multi-shot weapons?
The wording in the Craftsman’s Companion Pistol states:

Weapon may be fired at Range of 1″ (25′) on a critical
Hit. Rolls of 5 or 6 may affect other Firearm/Grenade,
etc. (Regardless, Counting attacks on same target as
separate, separate hits)

I’ve been told by a DM that this refers to single-shot weapons, not multi-shot weapons.

You may treat the Craftsman’s Companion Pistol as if it has the bonus to Reaction rolls granted by the Craftsman’s Pistol for the purposes of attacking with the weapon.

So if you are shooting at a target with an automatic weapon, you can’t use the +4 Reaction bonus from the Craftsman’s Pistol if you’re using automatic fire.
In your example, you could use the +4 Reaction bonus as part of a total of 5-6 hits that count as separate critical hits.

The text of the Weaponcrafting Rules in the DMG has been updated in the 4e errata:

‘You may use the roll to decide whether you miss your attack’ has been updated to ‘You may roll with the intent to count as a miss. You may use the roll to decide whether you miss your attack.’

This is intended to clarify the intent for both weapons that have separate (per hit) effects and weapons that have a ‘partial miss’ where multiple hits may count as a critical hit.
A DM may still rule that the Weaponcrafting Rules do not apply to your example.
If the weapon is a multi-shot firearm, the text of the rule is still a bit confusing. It states,

If the number of attacks or shots is greater than 1,
